Life is unpredictable; you never know what is going to happen, even when days seem to repeat themselves in some of our daily monotonous routines…there’s always that one day when that one moment comes that throws everything off course and catches you off guard.

Nothing is certain in life, including how long we have from the time we take our first breath to our very last. All that we can do is journey through every moment in between and try to make the best of it. Within that time we may encounter one of the greatest feelings in the world we know…love. Granted, it’s also one of the most devastating ones when things don’t go right, but anything that has that much power and creates so much passion in the heart and soul is why there are probably millions of love songs that have existed across the millennia of time, and certainly many thousands that have been recorded and released since sound recordings first existed.

Well, I’ve certainly created some songs that were about women I had been romantically involved with, although I’ve never been specific about it where you would know which ones or even whom they were about; no songs or dedications that even carried the name of the recipient of my creative affection…until this EP project.

I can’t explain why her, and why now, but for whatever reason, the woman I am currently with has somehow inspired me to create, to dedicate to her, this humble offering of 5 tracks as a direct reflection of how I feel about her. She is, undoubtably, my muse, and we are the recipients of each other’s love.

We come from different cultures/countries/backgrounds, but our hearts found each other and it has shown me that no distance on Earth is too great to follow where it may lead and who it may lead to.

This is the quintessential labor of love, in its purest expression, and I hope those of you who listen and download this will resonate with it feel that energy in it, and may it lift you up, inspire your own relationships or give you something to look forward to. We’re still charting our own course, day by day, but each day we get, it’s a blessing and I am grateful to experience love on a level I’ve only just begun to understand.

And to the woman who this project is dedicated to, “saya sayang kamu”…or in my language, “I love you”.
